Artwork Description
Gered Mankowitz's SolarPsychedelic reimagines one of the most iconic photographic portraits ever captured of Jimi Hendrix into a lenticular art print form. Mankowitz has created a series of false-colour versions of the original photograph, adding solarised and psychedelic colours and graphics, in a modern digital art style echoing the psychedelia and Pop Art of the time.
Originally shot in London in 1967, used as the album cover for The Ultimate Experience, and now part of the Photographic Collection at the National Art Gallery in London, this stunning lenticular version of the classic photography print animates through the various colour states, creating a shimmer of colour as you move around the piece.
Lenticular art prints from our online art gallery are UV printed on premium PETG lenticular lenses, and framed in a high quality box frame with anti-reflective UV glass in our online shop.
Proof of ownership registration and a certificate of authenticity from the Tagsmart art registrar in London are included with this lenticular portrait.
