Velvet and Lace by Gered Mankowitz is an original art print that takes two rarely seen black and white photographic portraits of Jimi Hendrix, and applies a lenticular three dimensional rotation effect to both, giving the viewer an impression of walking around Hendrix as they pass the framed art print.
The original photographs were taken at a 1967 photo shoot with Hendrix at Mankowitz's London studio, which produced some of the most iconic and well known portraits of the legendary musician. Several images from the Velvet and Lace shoot have been produced as photographic prints in the past, but this little known pair of images combine beautifully in this modern 3D lenticular portrait art print.
Available in two sizes through our Kent online art gallery, this piece is 90cm x 60cm and produced using UV inks on premium lenticular lenses, all professionally finished in our art shop in a box frame with anti-reflective UV glass.
Each original art print is also provided with a certificate of authenticity and ownership, registered through the Tagsmart art registrar in London, which includes optional blockchain registration if requested by each art collector.
