Artwork Description
Sylphe 2 by Cyrille Charro is a companion lenticular artwork to Sylphe 1 (which is also available through our online art gallery); each is a photographic portrait study of a young woman in profile, slowly exhaling cigarette smoke towards the top of frame in a black space.
Backlit and photographed in black and white through a sequence of images, this original lenticular art print creates a cinematic moving image effect as you pass from one side of the piece to the other, capturing a moment as the smoke rises from the model's face, or draws us towards it if walking in the opposite direction.
